1 gal can of Bush's Baked beans
1 lb. bacon frozen
2 c green onions chopped
2 c yellow onions chopped
1/4-1/2 c garlic minced
1/2-3/4 c. brown sugar
1 8oz bottle honey bbq sauce
1/2 c honey
Slice frozen bacon in 1" strips or smaller. In a large skillet, over med high heat, cook the bacon. Move bacon to paper towel to drain. In the same skillet, with the bacon grease, saute the green onions, yellow onions and garlic. Add bacon and stir. (this step can be done the night before and put into a ziploc) Drain the can of beans. Put into a large pan and turn heat ot med. high. Add the bacon, onion, and garlic mixture. Stir to combine. Add brown sugar, bbq sauce, and honey. Mix well. Reduce heat and simmer beans until thoroughly heated. Serves 20-25
Note: You may cook these beans in a crockpot on low for a few hours. This recipe can be quadrupled and put into a roaster oven to feed 75-100 cowboys.
